Elucidating the Capabilities of Mirrorless Large Core Bundled Plastic Fiber Optic Displacement Sensor for Paracetamol Detection

A simple mirrorless plastic optical fiber displacement sensor was used to determine the concentration of paracetamol (PCM) in an aqueous solution. Paracetamol concentrations between 5 and 45 ppm were tested by proposed sensor. With a mirror, substantial sensitivity observed output power changed against 0.0403 mW/μm for front slope 0.023 back with linearities more than 99%. On other hand, nonmirror reflector showed 0.0006 0.0002 case red 0.0007 0.0003 slope, respectively, white reflector. The coloured papers, which as reflectors mirror itself changing PCM concentrations, 0.0004 mW/ppm, 0.0008 0.02 respectively. experimental results indicated that not only able detect measure solutions but also very stable additional advantages cost-effective practical design is highly beneficial real-world sensing applications.
